Job Posting for AREA ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF FINANCE at 50 Bowery
Summary
This role will support the Area Director of Finance in implementing and overseeing all aspects in the finance department and identify opportunities to increase revenue and maximize profitability of two hotels, Hotel 50 Bowery and Gild Hall.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and review daily and monthly P&L.
Prepare and review monthly reconciliations.
Maintain full control of the GL and month end close processes.
Work with respective Department Heads to put procedures in place as well as cost control, labor productivity, and revenue enhancement.
Interview, train, and evaluate performance of staff.
Manage and oversee hotel on-site accounting/finance functions to ensure proper fiscal management, timely, and accurate reporting for the hotel.
Assist with managing and ensuring SOX and PCI compliance.
Assist Area Director of Finance with special reporting and analysis projects.
Salary range for this position is $90,000 to $105,000 annually
Qualifications
Hospitality or Finance degree preferred
3 years or more of progressive Finance experience, preferably within Hyatt
Experience supervising Finance staff members
Prior Oracle, Hyperion, Kronos, Opera, and Hyatt systems expertise desired
Advanced user of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line
Must have excellent organizational, administrative and problem-solving skills
