Summary The Multimedia Technician requires a diverse skill set for the production of high definition photorealistic and photo-accurate 2D and 3D interactive media to be used in simulation and/or emulation scenarios and procedural tasks as part of aviation courseware and other design assignments as required. All work should be completed within the constraints of a time sensitive schedule and budget. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Work with Subject Matter Experts, Instructional System Designer Specialists, Courseware Developers, User Interface Developers, and Multimedia Technicians to produce training materials for Computer Based Training (CBTs) and Classroom Led Instruction (IBTs, EMILs). Build complex interactive 2D and 3D interactive and static media assets and/or uses these assets to create interactive simulations, emulations and traditional courseware presentations within established timelines while maintaining a high degree of content accuracy and fidelity. The multimedia technician is expected to execute with a breadth of capabilities in accomplishing given tasks, with specialized skills (3D Modeling, UI/UX, Illustration, Photography, etc) used as required. Work well in a team oriented environment, offer constructive feedback; be flexible when circumstances in projects change rapidly and adjust accordingly Aids in the research and of the appropriate systems and tools to be used on a particular project based on the client’s requirements and availability of resources. Aids in the design and completion of product tests both in emulated and production environments. Aids in research of solutions by comparing the advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchased commercial off the shelf products. Aids in creation of templates and documentation that can be used by other designers and developers to rapidly create additional interactive training scenarios as required. Ensures work is completed within estimated schedule and budget requirements. Qualifications and Education Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in design, game design, 3D design or related field of study or a combination of education and experience. 1-3 years’ work experience in producing 2D and 3D interactive simulations and traditional courseware. Ability to work with minimal supervision, detail oriented Excellent verbal, written and record keeping communication skills Ability to communicate effectively Have a thorough understanding of design and development principles and how to integrate them into existing processes Follow best practices for file and media management Must be skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Animate) Must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance Must be familiar with the following: Basic Web development/layout Standard HTML, HTML5, JavaScript Microsoft Edge, Safari, Chrome and Firefox Windows operating system and Microsoft Office software (PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook) Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role. Preferred Skills Familiarity and proficiency with Articulate Storyline360, DomiKnow, Adobe Captivate Proficiency in 3DS Max, Maya, and Mudbox Must be able to draw and build complex game optimized photorealistic 3D objects in a collaborative environment Familiarity with the use of 3D media within modern web environments and browsers Capture large quantity of reference photos for potential use in hand modeling or photogrammetry UI/UX Design Familiarity and Proficiency in Real-time Rendering Familiarity in editing audio and video clips for use in presentations and demos Proficiency in Adobe Audition, Adobe Animate, Adobe Premiere, and Adobe After Effects. Security Responsibilities Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures.  Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval.  All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources. Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance. Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
