Description:

6K Additive is actively recruiting an Inventory Manager for a growing and fast paced organization. The Inventory Manager will be responsible for executing and tracking all inventory movements to ensure our company maintains proper inventory levels for products, equipment and supplies. This includes checking incoming shipments for accuracy, ordering and maintaining adequate packaging materials, powder consolidation, intercompany inventory moves and cycle counting.


Responsibilities:

            Perform all work in a safe and clean manner - maintain a safe workplace, free of clutter and hazards

    • Report safety hazards, unsafe working conditions or housecleaning issues to Supervisor, Manager, Safety Committee member or any management team member
    • Understanding of Warehouse and Production basic processes and procedures within the facility to identify process/procedure errors or opportunities for improvement
    • Maintain documents & records needed to properly account and reconcile the movement of material to ensure accuracy of the perpetual inventory system
    • SME for ERP implementation across 6k Additive business units and participate on implementation team as it pertains to inventory
    • Maintains inventory levels to ensure deliveries occur within customer timelines
    • Executes daily inventory analysis; identifies and resolves discrepancies and problems
    • Develop and maintain close working relationships with other departments to ensure cohesiveness within the plants
    • Understands department's key performance indicators and contributes to achieve these goals both individually and as a team
    • Leads organization in attaining key metrics including inventory turns, days on hand, on-time delivery, safety stock and finished goods
    • Check incoming shipments for accuracy and condition
    • Lead - Incoming/receiving check-in process
    • Execute - Receive and issue to QC for Incoming Inspection/Approval
    • Lead - Inter-site inventory movement activities (prep building/powder/upsize to milling/alloy etc)
    • Lead - Outside inventory movement activities (outside conversion and BU transfers)
    • Lead Cycle count inventory areas when appropriate and provide updates as required
    • Manages and monitors storage of purchased parts and finished goods
    • Coordinates write-offs on damaged or obsolete inventory to reflect accurate value of inventory with accounting group
    • Lead Consolidate scrap solids/scrap powder as necessary
    • Manage packaging supply ordering and inventory levels
    • Familiarity with quality management system standards (ISO/AS)
    • Incoming receiving Xray check in backup
    • Domestic Outbound shipping processes and operations backup


Qualifications:

    •   7-10 years of related production and/or inventory experience within a manufacturing or fulfillment center environment.
    •    HS Diploma Minimum with equivalent work experience listed above
    •    Proven experience of warehouse/supply chain/inventory management/logistics experience
    •     Strong leadership skills, ability to motivate others, resolve conflict and encourage teamwork across multiple locations
    •    Must be able to work under minimal direct supervision and be willing to take initiative to resolve problems and to help revise and       upgrade processes.
    •   Operation of heavy-load movement equipment a plus (pallet jacks, fork trucks, etc)
    •   Microsoft Office Suite
    •   Prior metals/metal powder experience is a plus
    •   Hazmat shipment regulations understanding a plus
    •   NetSuite/ERP experience a plus


Requirements 

    • Must pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and background check
    • Available for occasional overtime and possible weekend
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to work well with all levels of management and staff
    • Able to Move/transport 50 pounds
    • Dependable, punctual, and good attendance
    • Must have good organization skills and work with strong attention to detail
    • Positive attitude and the willingness to work as a member of the team
