Store Manager / Assistant Store Manager
Overview -
As a 7-Eleven Store Manager / Assistant Store Manager for a Franchisee, you will have the opportunity to help create and maintain an exceptional store experience for your store’s guests. A 7-Eleven Store Manager will help oversee all aspects of the store.
List of Responsibilities
Each franchisee is an independent contractor and as such will have a specific set of responsibilities for this position. In general, the responsibilities may include:
· Perform daily store walk to find opportunities for improvement and ensure store is meeting expectations
· Must work a minimum of 60 hours weekly
· Ensure sufficient staffing levels to meet the needs of your store’s guests
· Supervise, recruit, train and develop staff. Supervision of store staff includes any ASM, Store Leads, and Sales Associates
· Make weekly schedule
· Be able to handle callouts and make necessary adjustments
· Answer any calls or questions from store staff
· Develop strong vendor relations and implement and enforce all merchandising and vendor policies and procedures
· Maintain a clean, properly stocked, and merchandised store including the cooler
· Ensure all equipment is working properly and/or call maintenance to create cases if needed
· Promote 7-Eleven to your guests and community
· Promote and resolve customer complaints, in a timely and professional manner
· Maximize sales and profits and identify and resolve any sales obstacles
· Implement Sales Plan promotions and ensure all POPs and POS advertising/signage is properly posted at the correct time
· Enforce all Safety and Security Issues and report any unsafe conditions
· Manage and maintain proper inventory levels and controls and checking guided replenishment orders and ensure all top sellers are properly ordered
· Ensure all merchandise is stocked and displays are attractive, priced correctly, and displayed in a safe manner
· Complete all non-daily orders
· Schedule and perform daily cycle count of each inventory section
· Cycle count Line-Item Exceptions (“LIEs” - if applicable)
· Communicate and perform all price change requests, mark downs/ups as requested and cycle counts of any price changes
· Fill and properly maintain any scratchers daily
· Take stock of cigarette inventory and make sure to fill any cigarettes if running low
· Proper maintenance of all vendor deliveries including all paperwork/invoices. Send/scan any CoreMark or CDC delivery and paperwork to your store specific e-mail address
· Perform cash report daily and send to Upper Management
· Monitor cash over/short, inventory shrinkage, and write-offs
· Supervise and assist in quarterly audits
· Make daily deposits
· Send purchase summary daily and mail any store related coupons
· Ensure store has proper levels of currency and call and order change, if necessary
· Supervise and complete temperature logs daily
· Complete gas inspections
· Ensure job assignments are being completed by the staff
· Follow and enforce all Company Policies and Established Procedures in the store Operations
Franchisees expect all candidates to be highly self-motivated with a desire to work in a fast-paced environment. Retail/Food Service experience is a plus.
