The Traveling Crusher Operator will assist the crusher foreman with operation of the crusher and support equipment. Must be willing to travel as this team and its equipment will move to different sites every few weeks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Crusher operation, Maintenance, Inspection, and repairs
- Assist with set up, tear down and transportation of crusher and support equipment
- Operation of heavy equipment including daily inspections and maintenance
- Perform all duties within the safety guidelines set by MSHA and company policies
- General labor duties including service work and groundskeeping
- Clean debris from/around equipment and conveyor belts
- Extensive Travel
Qualifications:
- Applicant must be 18 years of age
- Verifiable work experience with heavy equipment and its operation
- MSHA certificate or willingness to obtain
- Demonstrated mechanical, troubleshooting and welding /fabrication skills
- Possess and maintain a valid class C driver license
- Fluent with basic computer and communication skills
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and physical ability test
- Possess the ability to take direction under pressure with strict deadlines
- Ability to complete work and related tasks in adverse weather conditions
- Must have mechanical knowledge of equipment and able to perform routine maintenance
- Ability to repeatedly walk up/down steep and rough terrain carrying tools and material
- Must be a team player that is willing and able to learn
