What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Learning & Development position at 98point6?
This role allows you to work from anywhere you choose across the U.S. (excluding U.S. territories), with the flexibility to work from the Seattle HQ office as often as you’d like. Our core working hours are from 10 am to 4 pm Pacific Time Monday through Friday. Please be aware that all employees are expected to be available during these hours.

This role reports to the Vice President of Clinic Innovation and Partnerships and collaborates closely with leaders in Product, Commercial, Quality/Safety, Scopes/Standards and Legal & Compliance teams to achieve our company strategic goals.
- Oversee the strategy for a highly customized virtual care curriculum, leveraging advanced technology, tools and innovative delivery platforms
- Determine priorities, manage ambiguity and shape nimble strategies that respond to the needs of the business in a rapidly changing and fast paced startup environment
- Lead the development of a clinical training roadmap for the organization that meets business needs and is in alignment with 98point6’s core values
- Use Learning & Development expertise to provide insights & direction on all aspects of training related to our programs and products, including clinical practice standards, medical workflows, clinical policies, efficiency, automation tools, patient safety and clinical outcomes
- Manage and develop a small team of Training Managers to create and implement impactful programs
- Develop and execute an effective communication and training plan to introduce new product features and updates to end users, in collaboration with product and engineering teams
- Enhance and motivate adoption of our technology by physician users through effective change management
- Design and implement a data-driven training evaluation program, using performance metrics to enhancing training effectiveness and efficiency
- Ensure that clinical training complies with state and federal legal requirements and is in alignment with established clinical policies and procedures
- 10 years’ experience leading a medical or corporate learning or talent development function for matrixed organization
- Demonstrated experience in developing learning programs
- Deep knowledge of adult learning principles and change management methodologies
- Ability to leverage data and analytics to enhance effectiveness and efficiency of learning programs and tools
- Experience growing and developing a team
- Ability to manage vendors, contractors and work within a budget
- Strong people management and leadership skills, including proven experience managing significant programs
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, analytical skills and organizational savvy
- Experience working in a healthcare environment required
- Experience with training end users on complex professional software systems required
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Master’s Degree in Learning & Development, Organizational Development or another relevant discipline preferred
