9Rooftops Role
The Market Research Manager will work closely with strategy & research team members, other agency disciplines and clients to design, execute and glean insights and recommendations from primary market and consumer research. The Market Research Manager will participate in qualitative and quantitative research methods (e.g., conducting interviews, focus groups, surveys, etc.) and report findings and recommendations. This role reports into the VP, Director of Market Research, within the Strategy department.
- Lead market research studies from the design and execution to reporting and presenting findings
- Analyze and interpret research data to uncover key patterns and important information
- Directly supervises junior research analyst(s) with responsibility for guiding their work and professional development
- Manage the day-to-day relationship with key clients and work collaboratively with partners across the agency
- Help drive standard operating procedures & innovation efforts in the research practice
What Else
Knowledge, skills, abilities:
- Experience with designing complex survey programs in Qualtrics or a similar platform
- Comfort with a range of statistical software packages such as SPSS, Q, R etc; experience with Marketing Intelligence Dashboards such as Datorama, Power BI is a plus
- Curiosity to understand motivations behind consumer behavior
- Strong data visualization skills and an ability to focus on insights over observations are a must
- Experience directly managing client relationships and a desire to lead the work & professional development of junior staff
- Proficiency with more advanced analytic techniques such as clustering, regression, factor analysis etc; experience with Natural Language Processing a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A creative thinker, team-oriented attitude and a desire to learn
- Ability to work independently to develop project timelines and meet delivery deadlines
Minimum qualifications:
- An undergraduate degree and 5 years of professional market research experience
