RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Negotiate and steward broadcast buys within assigned markets for clients.
- Maintain positive relations with media representatives.
- Projects accurate delivery, rating, share estimates for all clients.
- Regularly solicit and evaluate added value opportunities for clients.
- Oversee the communication avail requests and buying guidelines to sales community.
- Assist with sponsorship evaluations.
- Stay up to date on spot market conditions, price fluctuations, changes in viewing/listening patterns, station changes.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of post buy analyses.
- Develop media reps as a new business source/resource.
- Evaluate a wide range of local market stations/programming and contribute new ideas to effectively reach the target consumer.
- Develop and manage media documents including media schedules and financials necessary to keep the broadcast buys/campaigns on schedule and within budget for the client.
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4 years of local market broadcast buying experience, preferably in an agency setting
- Working knowledge of industry-standard media research tools (e.g, Nielsen, Scarborough, Mediaocean, etc.)
- Detail oriented, able to manage and steward broadcast buys across multiple markets
- Willingness to contribute thinking and ideas that extend beyond media specific tasks
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure
- Strong organizational skills; able to multi-task and effectively prioritize
- Team player
- Curious, inquisitive mind
