Day Program Manager, Jacksonville, NC (2024066)

At a Caring Heart, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Day Program Manager to oversee and manage the daily operations of our Day Program for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment that promotes the well-being and personal growth of our participants. This role involves supervising staff, coordinating activities, developing individualized plans, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Requirements:

• Monday - Friday: 8am - 4pm
• Possess a high school diploma or GED
• Possess a valid driver's license, car insurance, and vehicle registration.
• Background and Reference Checks: All applicants who are to be considered for a position must agree to background checks, submit the required documents in order to process them, and professional references are required.
• Administrative Expectations: Must have the ability to organize weeks in advance and to develop monthly calendars which highlight activities and events for distribution to staff and client families.
• Comfortability with Organizing and Coordinating Events: Must feel comfortable creating, developing, coordinating, and implementing daily activities for our providers and their assigned clients.
• Good Work Ethic: Must have a good work ethic that demonstrates arriving and leaving on time, a determination to meet position expectations, and maintain disciplined professionalism.
• Assist as needed with events such as parties or picnics.

About This Position (Day Program Manager):

• Develop monthly calendars and create activities to be completed by clients and their respective provider's.
• Assist in monitoring direct care staff and their respective consumers to ensure all interventions in each individual's plan are being implemented appropriately.
• Ensure orderliness and cleanliness of day program areas.
• Plan as needed for field trips by researching accessibility and coordinating all aspects of trip.
