We are seeking a skilled Cost Accountant to join our dynamic team at a renowned, world-leading manufacturing company headquartered in the Lansing, IL area.
Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 Hybrid Work Schedule Offered!
What You'll Do:
- Analyze manufacturing costs, identify areas for improvement, and recommend process enhancements.
- Evaluate yield, labor variances, scrap transactions, and raw material impacts on the cost of goods sold.
- Lead month-end/year-end closing processes and manage journal entries.
- Oversee compliance with corporate policies and establish a robust internal controls environment.
- Responsible for fixed assets, AFE system, unvouchered reports, and balancing select asset accounts.
- Review and approve procurement card transactions, receipts coding, and expense reports.
- Assist with year-end audit physical inventory observations.
- Collaborate with corporate accounting and plant leadership to develop budgets and financial goals aligned with production targets.
What you Bring:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting required
- 2 years of Cost Accounting experience
- Experience within Manufacturing environment highly preferred
