BIOLOGIST JOB SUMMARY* Biologist will support Science and Interventional projects using cell culture and flow cytometry assays, as well as analyze and interpret results to guide experimental design with minimal oversight.
* An ideal candidate demonstrates the ability to adapt to the rapidly changing requirements of a dynamic work environment and works effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
* Previous experience with cell culture and flow cytometry is a must; experience culturing primary cells, and/or with NGS is a strong plus.
BIOLOGIST HIGHLIGHTS:
* Work schedule: Mon-Fri, 8a-5p (work will be performed predominantly on-site)
* 1-year contract assignment with great potential of getting hired directly
* Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
* 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
* The hourly compensation for this position is $40 per hour
BIOLOGIST QUALIFICATIONS:
* B.A./B.S. in Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or related field, advanced degree is a plus but not required.
* 2 years of experience in a university or industry lab setting.
* Experience with sterile cell culture techniques and flow cytometry is a must.
* Fluency with standard molecular biology methods (e.g., PCR, qPCR, BioA), and/or NGS methods is a plus.
* Demonstrated ability to swiftly learn new techniques.
* Excellent attention to detail with a strong understanding of laboratory practices.
* Strong ability to meet goals under tight timelines and to adapt to changing priorities.
