Primary Function
The FP&A Manager is a key member of the AO Smith North American Water Heater (NAWH) team, a successful organization with a great track record of delivering results. This position focus will be on driving the financial planning and analysis function at the AO Smith NAWH. The position responsibilities include developing and executing the financial strategic plan, quarterly forecast, KPIs and ad hoc analysis. This role works closely with the Data Analytics team to provide high impact business performance reporting. The ability to build strong relationship and collaborate across all business units constructively and efficiently is critical for the success of this role.

This position is located in our Ashland City, TN NAWH Corporate Headquarters. This role is eligible for a remote work schedule of up to two days remote work per week. New employees are eligible to apply after successfully completing their initial 90 days of employment and training.
Responsibilities
- Partner and communicate with the senior management including VP of Finance, President, GM, VP of Wholesale and VP of Retail to support the commercial leaders in decision making process using financial data and analytics, ROI analysis, and pricing principles.
- Lead and drive the financial reporting and analysis function for NAWH organization, including sales, profit margins and selling and administrative expense. Produce the quarterly and monthly finance review presentations.
- Prepare key insights for World HQ Managements and Analysts to support global business decisions.
- Encourage continuous improvement to improve and simplify the financial consolidation process, while ensuring a high degree of accuracy and leveraging systems capabilities.
- Manage a team of Financial Analysts by directing, allocating, and assigning priority to functions and projects. Provide performance management, offer guidance, and train the team in best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or Finance, or related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in FP&A with expertise in Forecasting, Budgeting, Performance Reporting, and Financial analysis
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a people manager
- Experience in Manufacturing organizations with multi-site operations factories and business units
- Exposure to consumer goods desirable
- Exposure to Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement desirable
- Exposure to R&D and Innovation projects desirable
- Experience with SAP/BPC tools
- Substantial experience with MS Excel demonstrating successful skills in building models and generating easy to interpret reporting of KPIs
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage competing multiple priorities
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
Years of Experience
Minimum of 5 years related work experience
2-3 Years of Supervisory/Leadership Experience
