Direct Support Professional

We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities and autism.

We need someone available to visit a client's location daily from 11 AM to either 12 PM or 1 PM. Additionally, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, the individual must return to the client's location at 6 PM to assist with meal preparation.

**Duties:**

- Assist individuals with daily living activities (ADLs) such as grooming, bathing, and dressing

- Support individuals in developing life skills and achieving personal goals

- Provide companionship and emotional support

- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for individuals in assisted living settings

- Help individuals with mobility needs including lifting when necessary

- Drive individuals to appointments and community outings

- Collaborate with healthcare professionals such as nurses to coordinate care

- Maintain a clean and organized living space for individuals in group homes or nursing facilities

**Skills:**

- Experience in childcare or working with people with developmental disabilities

- Knowledge of working with individuals on the autism spectrum

- Familiarity with assisted living environments and the needs of residents

- Ability to lift and assist with mobility needs

- Valid driver's license for transportation requirements

- Basic nursing skills are a plus but not required
