Position Information:
The HR Generalist primary responsibilities is to work collaboratively with other department managers to support our front-line employees. Responsibilities will include overseeing recruitment, staffing, employee relations, workers compensation, safety, compliance of employee personnel policies & regulatory compliance standards in addition to various administrative functions.
Overall Responsibilities:
- Liaison with all departments to ensure efficient cross-department goals are achieved and all departments are supported.
- Provide recruitment strategy and staffing support. Partner directly with the Director of Operations and department leads to determine recruitment needs and develop robust talent pipelines.
- Assist with complex employment issues regarding staff disciplinary matters, including complaints, conflict management, attendance, compliance, exit interviews and occasionally with the support of the Director of Operations represent at unemployment claim hearings.
- Support Benefits and Payroll functions to ensure compliance.
- Responds to general inquiries. Conveys information to employees when appropriate or refers complex situations or issues to the Director of Operations.
- Lead employee performance evaluation systems and implement the use of performance evaluations tools.
- Maintain HR Compliance calendar and work closely with the Director of Operations to meet compliance deadlines.
- Assist in creation and/or reviewing of job descriptions, to ensure job descriptions comply with all regulations.
- Assist Director of Operations with Administration of workers comp claims.
- Processes transactions in HR systems such as personnel actions, changes of status, promotions, terminations, organizational changes, etc. through required workflow process.
- Acts as a liaison between employees and payroll to provide assistance and updates.
- Maintain and update employee personnel and medical file records.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
- 3 years of directly related HR Generalist experience.
- Strong attention to detail, administrative, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented and collaborative work style.
- ADP Workforce Now experience highly recommended.
- FBI & DOJ Livescan clearance
- TB Test clearance
- First Aid & CPR certification
- Ability to use smart phone for work related business ( provides Wi-Fi/cell stipend)
