Position Title: Director of Nursing

Position Overview:

As the Director of Nursing (DON), you'll lead our nursing team to ensure exceptional patient care and uphold nursing excellence. Your role is crucial in fostering a culture of professionalism and guiding strategic nursing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Nursing Excellence:

• Lead nursing activities for effective patient care delivery.
• Establish and implement nursing policies and procedures in line with standards.
• Align nursing priorities with organizational goals.

1. Departmental Management:

• Set goals for departmental performance enhancement.
• Maintain standards of documentation, cleanliness, and safety.
• Manage staffing levels and quality assurance measures.

1. Supervision and Development:

• Support and supervise nursing staff, ensuring professionalism.
• Conduct performance appraisals and facilitate staff development.
• Communicate effectively with nursing and medical staff.

1. Additional Responsibilities:

• Engage in hospital leadership activities.
• Represent leadership externally on nursing matters.
• Contribute to executive-level projects as needed.

Qualifications:

- Master’s degree in Nursing is required.

- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Montana or ability to obtain licensure in Montana prior to the first day of work.

- 5 years of experience in psychiatric or mental health settings.

- 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience in behavioral health settings.

- Other combinations of education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Special Requirements:

- Fingerprint and background checks.

- Valid driver’s license.

Safety Responsibilities:

- Adherence to the Department’s Safety Program.

- Reporting workplace accidents and injuries promptly.
