Working in the procurement team in Electrification Smart Power, HUB Americas in Mebane, NC, you will be deciding on and implementing plans for local sourcing to achieve business targets and assist regional and global sourcing initiatives.
Ensures the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the purchasing and logistics related activities in the Procurement function to support the businesses.
Executes assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures

Your responsibilities
Executes purchasing and logistics strategies to support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied productsDesigns and implements plans and effective strategies for local sourcing of products / materials to reach business targetsSupports the Procurement Manager in implementing effective local sourcing strategies in line with business strategy to meet current and future business requirementsSupports alignment between local procurement activities and division strategyApplies and implements procurement standards, tools, and processes in their own area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost, and sustainabilityTracks the procurement processes and activities and creates and updates reports, as required, following the ABB standardsResolves issues related to procurement cost, quality, and delivery in their assigned areaTracks internal and supplier performance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), quality issues, and implements related development actionsExecutes and implements new changes related to purchasing and logistics within their own area of responsibilityDelivers and participates in training programs as required to ensure compliance and foster professional developmentEnsures effective and transparent communication internally, externally, and between different units and centers
Your background
Bachelor's in supply chain, engineering or any other technical fieldMinimum 3 years experience in manufacturing supply chain, sourcing and / or procurement preferredCertification in Purchasing / supply chain preferredExperience with SAP preferredAnalytical skills e.
g. Microsoft Excel spreadsheets advanced level preferredAssertive communication style preferredStrong presentation skills using Microsoft Power pointFamiliar with using Power BI dashboards a plusCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
