The role reports to the Maintenance Manager and is located in Jonesboro, Arkansas. As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining electrical systems, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's), DC drives, AC inverters and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment by performing the following duties. This position works 10 hour shifts Monday - Thursday, with OT as needed to meet customer demand. * This is a Safety Sensitive position under the Arkansas Medical MarijuanaAmendment of 2016.
Your responsibilities- Ability to install electrical wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors and programmable controllers
- Ability to diagnose and repair malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, lighting fixtures, etc
- Diagnose and repair faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards
- Ability to diagnose and repair faulty mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components of machines and equipment
- Ability to plan layout of wiring and install wiring, conduit and electrical apparatus in the building
- Ability to weld and fabricate
- Knowledge of boilers and chillers
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- A minimum of four to six years of mechanical experience and/or a state license, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- One year certificate from college or technical school and/or a state license
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups or employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
- Safety conscious, 5S driven, and recommends safety corrections immediately
- Produces excellent quality work
- Engaged to meet production goals regularly
- Participates in team initiatives yet self-motivated
- Must be self-motivated and responsible to perform tasks in a timely and efficient manner with minimal supervision
- No supervisory responsibilities
