Pay Range: $16.70 - $23.52 Shift Premium: $.20 for 2nd shift & $.30 3rd shift (based on a progression pay scale) **Eligible for $1,000 Sign-on Bonus after 60 days**
Your responsibilities
- Job Description:
- The role functions as a member of an area team that is directly responsible for efficient productions of quality products in the required quantities.
- • Must build/assembly electric motors ensure efficiency, operational conformance, product quality and continuous improvement.
- • Read and comprehending diagrams and verify parts to assembly the motor.
- • Requires basic computer skills and ability to use/learn Shop Floor Display system.
- • Requires an understanding of flex flow and day and rank system and able to comprehend all written instructions on how to build motor.
- • Requires the use of various hand tools, air tools, and torque wrenches.
- • The use of various gages and indicators.
- • Ability to do defect free work by assembling components accurately and meet minimum production guide lines for the area.
- • Communicate with other operators or supervisors to discuss any part or equipment defects. Identify and order appropriate supplies, parts, and tools as needed.
- • This job requires strong communication, interpersonal and team building skills to support site objectives. Production operators will be trained to perform task/jobs in other areas of production.
- • Place safety in the workplace above all else and follow safety guidelines along with reporting safety issues.
- • Daily housekeeping.
- • Work overtime as needed.
- • Other duties as assigned.
Your background
- Education and Experience Needed:
- • HS Diploma or equivalent required
- • 6 months of Industrial type experience or military service or in lieu of industrial experience will consider vocational/ technical high school and technical college courses or 3 months previous motor manufacturing experience.
- • Previous motor experience preferred.
- • Candidates must have a work authorization that would permit them to work in the United States.
- Specialized skills or other requirements:
- • Steady work history
- • Reliable transportation to and from work
- • Adaptable to change and ability to cross-train
- • Detailed oriented
- • Must be able to work any shift
- • Must be able to operate a forklift
- Physical Demands:
- • Requires repetitive pushing, reaching, pulling, grabbing, bending and twisting motions for parts/motors up to 75 lbs.
- • Operate will frequently to constantly use hand tools, power tools, and be able to grip various sizes of components and tools used to assemble motor.
- • Lifting up to 30-75 lbs. Hoist available.
- • Understand and use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Eye Protection with side shields.
- • Operator will constantly use fine finger manipulation to accomplish pre‐assembly, assembly, or finishing tasks.
- • Able to work 40hrs a week and required overtime
- • Ability to think independently while successfully functioning in a team environment
- • Requires the use of an air manipulator for lifting motors.
- • Able to perform task in a manufacturing environment
- • Standing on concrete floor
- • Exposure to sealants, silicone, and various greases
