This position reports to
Engineering Mgr I
Your role and responsibilities
As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed.
You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB's operations and enhancing personal education / employment opportunities.
The work model for the role is : onsite This role is contributing to the Motion Business.
- Support IMD lab activities by continuing build-out of lab setups and demonstrators. Integrate customer fan applications to broaden application test capabilities.
- Support customer issue resolution and application questions to enable new business development.
- Strengthen product documentation with improved manuals, drawings, and user guides.
- Contribute to new product development through validation test and documentation activities.
- Coordinate with lab leadership and personnel as well as product line leaders in integrated motor drive product group.
- Mentoring and networking opportunities.
- Personal and professional development programing will be offered to all interns. This programing will include global and local sessions.
Qualifications for the role
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in electrical, mechanical engineering , or related field, in the United States.
- Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
- Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality
- Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress
