This position reports to

Shipping Supervisor

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that shipping, receiving and handling of product is executed in a safe, timely and efficient manner.

This is a key position in the Distribution Solutions team. Reports to the department Supervisor. The Team Leader cooperates with the department Supervisor to create an effective work environment, reinforce that product gets to the production line in a timely manner and identifies best practices to implement within the warehouse inventory process.

• Follows all environmental and safety regulations affecting operations.
• Proactively redlines maintenance procedures or checklists to maintain accurate documentation.
• Effectively communicates with maintenance manager concerning jobs being performed within the Dept.
• Communicate with maintenance planner and manager on part PO's.
• Understand and consistently use problem solving and advanced troubleshooting skills and use them to solve issues.
• Recommend improvements, training, and other tools to improve team member understanding.
• Engages team members to understand the work environment, train on specific tasks, develop trouble shooting expertise and / or provide coaching.
• Provides input to Supervisor on Team strengths and improvement opportunities.
• Effectively plans and organizes own work and the work of others, as needed.
• Role models a high work ethic and expects the same from team members.
• Exhibits an approach to daily routines which is consistent from day to day to promote operational discipline and effective operations.
• Overtime is required
• Passion for training others.
• Strong people skills.
• Ability to carry out verbal and written instructions.
• Able to work in high pace work environment.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of lean / continuous improvement.
• Skilled in using hand-tools such as pallets jacks, pallet banders, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to work in and advance a teaming environment.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft and SAP.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Two years of manufacturing experience in assembly, fabrication, or logistics.
• Experience related to the processes within the area.
• Legal authorization to work in the US is required.
