Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Management:
- Oversee all aspects of HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to support organizational objectives and foster a positive work environment.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to management and employees on HR-related issues, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Develop, implement, and oversee safety programs and initiatives to prevent accidents, injuries, and occupational hazards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
- Provide safety training to employees and ensure that all personnel are aware of and adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
- Investigate workplace incidents and near misses, and develop corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to workplace safety.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulatory agencies by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
- Prepare and submit required reports and documentation related to HR and safety compliance.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners, such as legal counsel and regulatory agencies, to address compliance issues and resolve disputes.
- Promote employee engagement and morale through the development and implementation of initiatives that enhance workplace culture and employee satisfaction.
- Support employee wellness programs and initiatives to promote physical and mental well-being.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Occupational Health and Safety, Business Administration, or a related field.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) and safety certifications (e.g., CSP, CHST) are preferred.
- Proven experience in human resources management, with a focus on employee relations, recruitment, and compliance.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices, with experience developing and implementing safety programs in an industrial or construction environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
