The Digital Solutions organization reports in the Medical Devices group and is responsible for leveraging digitally enabled technology to increase patient access to care and provide our customers with best-in-class experiences that support their mission to improve patient outcomes.
This role is based onsite in Sylmar, CA (Preferred) or Austin TX.
The Group Marketing Manager, Digital Solutions role reports to the Product Marketing Director, Digital Solutions. This is a highly visible and strategic role. This role will interact with senior leadership on a regular basis.
In this role you will be responsible for strategy and new product roadmap for Digital Solutions.
You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders internally, as well as external partners, to build our next generation digital offerings. You will be responsible for identifying customer and market needs/wants, building business cases and product rationale, developing global launch plans, and ensuring successful project execution.
What you will work on
Portfolio and Strategy
- Strong contributor to the overall Abbott Digital Solutions portfolio roadmap and owner of one or more product lines
- Make portfolio recommendations to senior leadership
- Build out business opportunities and business cases for new opportunities
- Monitor customer, competitor, and industry trends to identify innovation opportunities
- Understand, evaluate, and recommend partnerships. Manage partner relations and activities
Product Management
- Lead customer research, synthesis, ideation, design and testing of digital solutions and services
- Deeply understand key moments in clinician and patient journeys. Translate research and data into personas, journey maps, service-design blueprints. Deliver strategies and roadmaps and translate concepts into features and requirements
- Collaborate and brainstorm with cross-business unit and cross-functional teams (including product owners, designers, engineers, marketing, clinical and other subject matter experts)
- Represent the customer and drive a customer-driven mindset
- Build strong relationships with leading KOLs around the globe. Manage physician advisory boards, congress/symposium, and other KOL engagement activities.
- Own the full life cycle management of a product – from concept through launch and future iterations
Leadership
- Mentor and coach others in the team to build a strong and productive culture
- Spearhead process and system improvements to build a best-in-class marketing competence within our team
- Help us to build a best-in-class marketing approach – from building our brand strategy to digital marketing
- Present to senior leadership, customers, and across Abbott
Qualifications
Required
Background
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10+ years product management experience
- 2+ years managing high performing teams
- Comfortable with both upstream and downstream activities
Behaviors
