Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing:
• Supervises nursing team members who provide direct resident care
• Communicates with all health care providers and partners
• Coordinates and implements nursing care as ordered by the physician and agreed to by the resident
• Documents resident status / care / services in a timely, accurate, and comprehensive manner
• Responsible for the provision of nursing services within the scope of licensure and in compliance with current standards of practice and corporate/care center policies and procedures
• Follows the plan of care and ensures the overall health and well-being of each resident
Qualifications / Requirements
• Must have an unrestricted and active Iowa (or compact state) RN or LPN license
• Experience in skilled nursing / long term care (LTC) preferred
• Knowledge and understanding of federal and state nursing facility rules and regulations, including licensing, OSHA, CDC, and Public Safety
• If licensed as an LPN, the Iowa Board of Nursing requires the completion of a Board-approved supervision course within six (6) months of working in a charge / supervisory capacity
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills specific to the English language
• Per the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), COVID-19 vaccination is required, with exceptions for medical and religious accommodations when reasonable
Additional Information
Shift: 1st Shift, 2nd Shift, or 3rd Shift; 12-hr shifts also available; approx. forty (40) hours/wk
Base Wage: RN starting at $31.00/hr (FT) and $30.00/hr (PT); LPN starting at $29.00 (RN) and $28.00 (PT)
Years of Experience Incentive Pay: $0.20/hr per year, up to ten (10) years
2nd / 3rd Shift Differential: $5.00/hr
Weekend Package Option: Yes
Weekend Package Incentive Pay: $3.00/hr
