Job Summary:
We are expanding our sales division with a new go to market sales team and need someone to lead these efforts – initially directly selling while building and managing the sales team.
The Sales Manager of New Business Development is responsible for leading Company efforts in acquiring net new customers by identifying, developing, and helping to close new B2B opportunities working through SmartSource’s sales team. You will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in uncovering and closing new business opportunities, coaching the sales team, and providing guidance to enable them to achieve revenue growth goals.
This position requires selling to a list of mid-market and fortune 500 accounts while having the responsibility of managing a small team of Business Development Executives. The Sales Manager will focus the team on winning new client business from the staffing, legal and pharmaceutical verticals within a territory and is ultimately responsible for the team’s territory revenue.
Successful candidates for this position will possess superior communication and sales skills that can be applied to both the sales process and internal communications. Ideal candidates will possess the skills to lead, coach, and motivate Business Development Executives to become high performance sellers through the application of sales processes, training, and mentorship. This role will also be responsible for guiding the personal and professional development of Business Development Executives, while enabling them to achieve their revenue targets and career growth objectives at SmartSource.
In order to succeed, the candidate will need to apply a combination of sales, management and strategic skills to quickly build and maintain relationships vertically across our potential clients while earning the trust and respect of internal team members.
