Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accounting Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of debits and credits, accounts payable, and possess excellent financial acumen. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, and UltiPro is preferred. This is an entry-level position with opportunities for growth and development in the financial services industry.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with accounts payable functions, including processing invoices, reconciling statements, and resolving payment discrepancies
- Perform data entry tasks to update and maintain financial records
- Assist with month-end closing procedures, including preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts
- Collaborate with team members to support various accounting projects and initiatives
- Provide administrative support to the accounting department as needed
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Proficient in using accounting software such as QuickBooks, UltiPro, and Kronos
- Basic understanding of financial principles and practices
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team is a must.
- Bilingual: Spanish and English is a required
