Customer Service Representative
Summary
This position is responsible for making sure the needs of customers are being satisfied. Customer Service Representative aims to provide excellent customer service. Customer Service Representative may also have a hand in handling face-to-face enquiries from customers and Abernathy Sales department.
Essential Functions

1. Provide assistance and advice to customers using Abernathy’s products or services.
2. Be familiar with a variety of the field's practices and procedures, such as product knowledge and application processes.
3. Communicating courteously with customers by telephone, email, letter and face-to-face.
4. Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and tasks.
5. Must manage time wisely throughout the work day. Multi-tasking is key.
6. Focus on the customer needs by being their primary point of contact in order to build long-term relationships.
7. Assist customers through email, phone conversations and face to face meetings.
8. Trouble shoot and solve problems presented to them by their customers and deliver the proper products and solutions.
9. Self-educate in industry knowledge and innovations.
10. Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our products and services according to customer needs and objectives.
11. Responsible for keeping current clients satisfied and delivering exceptional customer service on a day-to-day basis.
12. Monitor and analyze customer’s usage of our product so this information can be relayed to purchasing/inventory management.
13. Demonstrating various products to new, existing and potential customers.
14. Must represent Abernathy Company in a professional manner at all times.

This is not a supervisor position.
Work Environment
This job will operate in a clerical office setting. The individual routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
This position may require some light pickup; some stooping and lifting might be required.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Required Education and Experience
A promotion based on two years of proficiency demonstrated of required skills stated in job description. Rated as exceeding all aspects of job performance and noted two consecutive years in annual reviews.
Preferred Other Qualifications and Experience
Trade School or College hours preferred.
