Abilities Network, a multiple year winner of the Baltimore Sun’s Top Workplace award, is looking for an Adult and Family Services Manager to support our Community & Employment Partners team serving the Frederick and Washington Counties region. As an Adult and Family Services Manager you will lead a regional team of Direct Support Professionals and Case Managers who support adults with neurodiversity work toward personalized goals by utilizing and exploring their community’s resources. The Adult and Family Services Manager role is a remote based position. Travel within the region and to the Towson, MD Headquarters is required to attend meetings and trainings. The annual starting salary for this position is $52,500 and is non-negotiable.

What will I do at Abilities Network?
- Supervise a team of up to 7 staff who provide direct services to people with a developmental and/or intellectual disability.
- Provide training, coaching and support to staff delivering services, ensuring high quality services are provided, regulatory requirements are met, and that Abilities Network’s standards are upheld. Use reflective and strength-based communication strategies with staff.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on program improvements including service delivery, retention and professional growth.
- Serve as agency/program representative on appropriate local and state subcommittees, workgroups, events, etc.
- Ensure supports are person-centered and focused on growth, independence, fundamental rights of individuals with disabilities.
- Ensure strategic and efficient scheduling and service delivery to maximize organizational resources such as staff time, travel, etc.
Requirements
What does Abilities Network need from me?
- Degree in Human Services related discipline preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of community support or family services experience preferred; commensurate experience of 4-6 years in field accepted in lieu of degree.
- Must have valid driver’s license and positive driving record.
- Must be self-motivated and able to motivate others and function proactively.
- Solid understanding of or experience in supervising diverse staff with humility, as well as providing support to staff in stressful work environments.
- Must be proficient in written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and appropriately with individuals and partners at all levels.
- Must have a strong ability to think creatively and develop solid internal and external relationships with resources in the community.
- Experience with reflective practice preferred.
