Facilitator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled, motivated and compassionate Facilitator (teacher) to join our team. As a Facilitator, you will play a crucial role in providing support and guidance to individuals in need. The majority of our participants are court ordered for power and control behaviors related to domestic violence perpetrated. You will be trained to use and utilize evidence based practices to help individuals recognize and change problematic behaviors so they can overcome challenges and improve their overall well-being.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct group classes using evidence-based practices
- Assess class participants' needs and foster alternatives ways of thinking and behaving
- Remain patient and professional over the weeks participants attend classes
- Maintain firm but compassionate boundaries while working to facilitate needed change
- Monitor participant progress and class participation
- Educate participants on coping strategies and self-care techniques
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in accordance with legal and ethical standards
- Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in the field of mental health and addictions

Requirements:
- Staff will train new team members to become certified as required by state regulations
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with clients from diverse backgrounds
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Empathy and compassion for individuals facing behavior, addiction and/or mental health challenges
