Environmental Health & Safety Assistant

Temporary to Direct

Acara Solutions is looking for an Assistant, Environmental Health & Safety for our client located in Tempe, AZ.

• Part Time with full time availability

• This position will assist the EHS Manager in ergonomic evaluations throughout the facility and sustainability data management and program implementation.
• Interact daily with all levels in the organization from hourly employees to Production supervisors:
• Site review of departmental ergonomics and establish priorities for more detailed studies.
• Based on priorities, establish baseline ergonomics in the highest priority areas/departments.
• Recommend and implement corrective actions.
• Summarize all findings, recommendations and actions taken in a report.
• Present findings in a PowerPoint presentation to management.
• Communicate program status to EHS Manager on a regular basis
• Data entry of all sustainability data including water, wastewater, energy, solid waste, hazardous waste, and recycling.
• Assist in achieving sustainability goals established by Client.

Pay and Benefits:

The salary for this position is $25.00 per hour (Max Pay rate).

Required Skills / Qualifications:

Must have the ability to obtain or have an active secret clearance

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Sciences.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Assistant, Environmental Health & Safety

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as effective presentation skills
• Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office
• Ability to establish rapport and develop effective relationships.
• Ability in change management and conflict resolution.
