ACC is dedicated to helping people with disabilities maintain meaningful employment within their communities by providing one-on-one coaching at their place of employment.

As a job coach you will work one-on-one with a small caseload of adults and support them in their jobs in a multitude of working environments. You will go home at the end of the day knowing that you helped your clients succeed, made a difference in their life, and helped them grow their skills. This position is community based work with the goal of supporting clients at their job site or neutral location of their preference specifically in the Portland/East Portland area.

Job Duties:

• Provide clients on-site job coaching and support directed towards the goal of maintaining employment
• Help clients stay on task while on the job and provide coaching and support to reach proficiency in their tasks

• Help clients communicate with their employer and co-workers 

• Complete and submit accurate and timely documentation using a computer or smart phone using proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar

• Collaborate with clients and their employer to provide a supportive work environment

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Desire to help others succeed
• Ability to work effectively independently in the Portland/East Portland area
• Excellent communication skills
• 18 years of age or older
• Driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check
  
• Ability to communicate and relate effectively with people with different communication styles and abilities
• Flexibility with respect of hours of work and changing conditions dependent upon the client's work schedule
• Training and/or interest in the field of developmental disabilities
