Summary:
Support the planning and analysis activities of Access Point. Maintain forecast process and model for the division and provide analytical support to both finance and operations. Educate and evaluate the operational teams to enhance the clinical and financial success of Access Point.
Essential Functions:
· The Director of Finance will report directly to the SVP and will be responsible for leading Access Point’s finance and accounting operation
· Scope of responsibilities include management accounting, financial reporting, and accounts receivable. As well as close coordination with Access Point’s parent company in areas of tax, treasury, accounts payable, financial reporting, and audit
· Responsible for producing standard and consistent accounting and finance support including monthly / quarterly / annual closing, forecasting, budgeting, long-range planning and financial analysis & reporting
· Develops and enhances financial analytics, including variance analysis explanations; partnering with operations to address opportunity areas.
· Oversees preparation and distribution of operating reports and reviews.
· Directs annual target setting process and execution of current year budget.
· Updates annual proforma templates and supports others to complete throughout the year.
· Analyze monthly activity against prior month, prior year, forecast, budget and other measures.
· Manages personnel within the department, plans and organizes work and monitors controls to evaluate the department's performance.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
· Ability to think strategic to solve challenging business issues.
· Ability to influence key decisions and business strategy through sound business logic, executive presence and polished presentation skills.
· Very strong attention to detail and organizational skills required
· Resourceful nature, with strong problem-solving, analytical and customer-service orientation
· Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Superb interpersonal skills with ability to partner well with other team members and interfaces effectively with all levels of management.
· Approximate percent of time required to travel: 30%
Qualifications
Education:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA preferred
Licenses/Certification:
· CPA preferred
Experience:
· 7 years finance experience including leadership.
