Job Description
Reporting to the Assistant Director, Talent & Culture, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Responsibilities
- Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
- Be a role model for the Talent & Culture team and Fairmont Austin colleagues, supporting all Talent & Culture policies and procedures
- Lead and manage the day-to-day recruitment activities within the Talent & Culture department to ensure standards are followed
- Research, plan and participate in recruitment trips to key employment markets
- Conduct or coordinate interviews with all candidates
- Direct the internal posting process, ensuring all candidates are interviewed
- Coach and counsel Department leaders to formulate effective recruitment and succession strategies including the creation of job descriptions
- Develop and maintain relationships with leading Hotel schools, participate in on-campus recruitment and coordinate any Management Training or Internship Programs
- Follow all policies, procedures and service standards
- Follow all safety policies
- Assist in all areas of Talent & Culture and other departments as assigned
Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. - Previous leadership experience in a human resources or talent and culture related functions an asset
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications required
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Ability to remain focused and claim in a busy work environment.
- Ability to prioritize based on the needs of the operation and find creative alternatives in a busy environment
Required Education and Experience
- University/College degree in a related discipline is an asset
