The Scrum Master is responsible for providing servant-leadership to the Scrum team. Responsibilities include facilitating Scrum ceremonies, improving the Scrum process, and resolving blockers for the team.

How you'll make a difference:

  • Serve as a Scrum Master for 2 to 4 teams across the program where required.
  • Aid the RTE in achieving the objective of the Agile Release Train (ART).
  • Assist in overall program/project planning and ensure cross-team dependencies are well-understood and modeled in project plans and timelines.
  • Identify, document, and publish risks and issues related to the overall program and to define resolution paths where required.
  • Resolve cross-team impediments and blocking issues.
  • Schedule and conduct meetings and ceremonies in accordance with best practices for Agile/Scaled Agile software development.
  • Responsible for building team collaboration, commitment towards achieving ART and sprint objectives and viewing team needs above everything else.
  • Continuously work to improve team performance and productivity:
  • Encourage team ownership and accountability, self-organization, and empowerment.
  • Share common Agile and Scaled Agile practices.
  • Facilitate SAFe Retrospectives which generate new ideas for relentless improvement.
  • Maintain relevant metrics that guide the development team to more efficient processes.
  • Develop and maintain clear and effective information communication between the development team, the Product Owner, and stakeholders.
  • Active participant in the local scrum chapters to share and learn new Scaled Agile concepts.

What you bring to the table:

  • A Scrum Master Certification or equivalent experience.
  • Must be a servant leader who helps teams achieve their goal through constant coaching, mentoring, and smooth facilitation of processes.
  • 5 years in software development and 3 or more in a Scrum Master role.
  • Must have served as a Scrum Master for global development teams
  • Demonstrated 5 yrs of experience in delivering software products.
  • Experience in SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) is required and can demonstrate a thorough understanding of PI Planning.
  • High level of personal accountability, as evidenced by their commitment, resilience, ownership, and mindset toward relentless learning.
  • Subject matter expert of Scrum/Kanban, yet willing to learn beyond their current knowledge.
  • Must be an effective communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be comfortable communicating with global development teams, Product Owners, Product Management, and Senior Management.
  • Ability to facilitate, understand, and contribute to technical discussions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – ability to work with diverse personality types, and global cultures.

Preferred Skills/experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field.
  • Active Certified SAFe® Scrum Master (CSM)
  • Has participated in 3 or more PI Planning Sessions
  • Has extensive knowledge of other Agile development approaches and practices such as TDD, BDD, etc.
  • Experience with Jira project management tools and implementation of best practices

  • This is a full-time, exempt opportunity.
