Our client - a distributor of engineered products to the construction and utility industries - is searching for a Sales Manager with excellent time management skills, strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
This is a Direct Hire position!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for achieving operational targets by providing business plans and monitoring the performance of the sales team
- Coach/Supervise the members of the sales team to consistently deliver a high standard of customer care, taking actions to plan for future growth, while also ensuring all sales and operational goals are met.
- Implement marketing campaigns and product launch strategies.
- Generate sales opportunities with existing and new business contacts through personal sales calls, conference calls, or webinars.
- Present product specifications to the engineering and contractor communities as necessary.
- Initiate quote proposals for bid estimating and follow up.
- Review blueprints and perform take offs as necessary.
- Ensure that all business process standards are observed.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers and vendors to drive sales.
- Communicate customer needs to branch personnel clearly.
- Ability to grow an existing customer base and develop new accounts.
- Track upcoming projects for addition to bid calendar.
Experience/ Skills/Abilities Required:
- Have a positive mental attitude motivated to succeed.
- Present a professional image to all outside contacts.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, time management and presentation skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Prior experience with sales and estimating to contractor or engineering community.
- Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
- Work well in a team environment.
- Successfully prioritize and complete work within specified timeframes.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree, and/or equivalent Director level sales experience.
- Proven track-record of sales experience in similar field.
- Outside utility construction experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
