Business Title: Payroll Accountant
Location: Raleigh, NC
Job Type: 3 Months contract
Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
This role is 70% accounting support and 30% payroll processing.
Job Responsibilities
- Process payroll for employees accurately and on time using UKG HRIS on a biweekly cadence.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Review and verify timekeeping records for accuracy for both exempt and non-exempt employees.
- Calculate and process adjustments, bonuses, commissions, and other payroll-related payments.
- Generate payroll reports as needed for management and regulatory purposes including but not limited to; benefit deductions, 401k, HSA/FSA
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting.
- Assist with payroll-related projects and initiatives as needed.
Skills & Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting (degree MUST be in Accounting)
- 1 year of general ledger experience
- 1 year of account reconciliations experience
- 1 year of journal entries experience
