The primary duty of the underground outby supervisor is to provide first level supervision of underground coal miners in a fast-paced environment. Responsible for the direction and performance of a represented workforce.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performing visual safety inspections
- Reporting potential unsafe conditions to the appropriate mine personnel
- Performing measurements of mine airflow and interpreting digital gas meters
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 3 years coal mining experience
- Must have supervisory experience
- Excellent leadership and analytical skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Thorough knowledge of general mining practices, and State and Federal mining laws
