Job Description
As a Sr. Procurement Buyer, you will be responsible for the purchase of goods, materials and services taking into account price, quality and delivery to ensure continuity of supply and that the best value is obtained. You will utilize skills in data analytics, purchasing, marketing, problem solving and negotiation to ensure problems are resolved ethically and professionally, and established goals and objectives are met or exceeded.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct competitive, best value, and single/sole source bids
• Analyze bids and formulate purchase recommendations
• Negotiate with qualified suppliers and identify cost reduction opportunities
• Conduct Market Research on all procurements
• Document price analysis techniques as defined in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
• Utilize knowledge of purchasing price thresholds including TINA
• Document and/or understand the requirements of Advance Notification & Consent, Simplified Acquisition Threshold, Small Business Plan, and CAS
• Ensure compliance with strategic procurement and US Government Contracting requirements (FAR, DFAR, FAR15, etc.,)
• Interact with multiple departments at all levels of internal and external organizations
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
YOU MUST HAVE
• At least 3 years of procurement/supply chain experience
• Microsoft Office Suite experience (Outlook, Excel, Word)

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 1 year experience with US Government Contracting (FAR, DFAR, FAR15, etc.,)
• Good technical knowledge of SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems
• Demonstrated competencies in the sourcing of direct material
• Excellent inter-personal and negotiation skills
