What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAD Designer position at Actalent?
Description:
This specific CAD Designer will be supporting manufacturing of hydraulic, lube oil, diesel and varnish filtration for industrial equipment. They have a small engineering team of 2 design engineers, 1 drafter, 1 manufacturing engineer, and technicians.
The CAD designer will be responsible for supporting their nonpowered sector of products that are both custom and semicustom. They will receive a catalog order from venders, take the design and fit the detailed drawing, ask vender numbers and vender questions, add part numbers, create, change, and add labels, Create/modify/maintain the BOM, check the prints and custom orders, modify the drawings, go on the floor and check the builds and product assemblies, release to production, keep the product and production schedule on track, take pictures of the product prior to shipping, .
Their projects can last anywhere from a few day turnaround to 10 week turnaround.
Will interact heavily with fabricators, welders, engineers, operators, end customer, venders, etc.
