What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAD Drafter position at Actalent?
*Note: This is a 12 month contract with the ability to be extended
Job Summary
This position is supporting the Project Planning team, which is responsible for new projects. As Sr. CAD Operator you'll be responsible for helping to retrofit the existing plant. You'll work closely with Manufacturing and Process Engineering - the equipment is spec'd out by the engineers and the drawings are handed over to you. You'll work in AutoCAD 2D to set the equipment in the plant, taking into account factors such as: equipment size and dimensioning, electrical connections, surrounding equipment, walls, columns, and other building factors .
Job Description
Be an essential part of a project team working on all phases of a design project from Layout Design through Construction Administration.
Participate in all aspects of a design project from design, management, and delivery.
Responsible for equipment layout, revisions, and design changes through out project
Support in checking Engineering Drawings and making revisions based on guidance from team members

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Comprehensive knowledge of building codes, standards and best building practices, preferred (egress codes, fire codes, etc)
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Flexibility to work both collaboratively and independently on projects of all scales and types

Intermediate - Expert Level
