What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chemistry Technician position at Actalent?
This is an excellent opportunity to work with hands on lab testing and instrumentation including Gas Chromatography, IR, and UV-Vis. There is a position available on the first shift and the second shift.
Description:
- General Wet Chemistry Lab Testing (pipetting, viscosity, boiling point, etc)
- Training on instrumentation (automatic pipetting machine, Gas Chromatography, IR spectrometer)
- Lab Testing associated with the testing and approving of chemical and blends.
- Incoming, intermediate and final chemical inspection of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods.
- Documentation of test results, status and chemical non-conformances.
- Maintenance of quality records. Verification of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods versus established specifications.
- Generation of certificates of analysis. USP testing, documentation, routine monograph testing, when applicable.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Associates Degree in the Sciences with industry or academic chemistry laboratory experience
- Detail oriented and able to manage priorities
- Ability to work within a team, but also self motivated
- Experienced with Microsoft Word and Excel
