Our growing client is looking for a concrete subject matter expert to add to their Charlotte team!
Description:
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall set-up and completion of projects within budget, on schedule, to company's quality and safety standards, and the customer’s satisfaction. This position works with the Operations Manager and Superintendent to create corrective action plans to maintain budgets and position the field team to overcome project obstacles and potentially accelerate the project schedule.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Builds and monitors budgets and schedules that meet client expectations by providing weekly progress reports and feedback for further financial analysis.
- Manages and tracks all project costs to ensure project progress aligns at or better than the established budget.
- Works with Operations Manager and Superintendent to identify potential schedule impacts, including scope, weather, manpower, and changes, and facilitates mitigation plans for these impacts.
- Owns the buyout process by verifying pricing and scope, identifies successful bidders, provides gap analysis against initial scope, and manages the issuance of subcontracts.
- Manages the submittal schedule set-up. Coordinates priorities with the team; reviews and approves all shop drawings and samples before submittal to customers, architects, or engineers.
- Foster vendor and subcontractor relationships to potentially create budget savings for project buyouts.
- Ensures approved submittals are returned to subcontractors and available to the project team per the project schedule and the contract.
- Work with Superintendent to ensure the crew’s time/job details/logistics/material is delivered in tune with the project schedule.
- Manage all changes with scope and project drawings to determine cost impact on budget and process changes with field to keep projects on schedule and determine if change orders are needed.
- Prepare and present weekly job performance to the management team to update financial statement projections and quarterly business plans.
- Leads the project start-up process, including job forms, certificate requests, submittals, schedule of values, etc.
- Leads the close-out process and manages punch list items with customers and field.
- Work remotely at the project site as needed.
