Our client is looking for construction inspectors/observers. This is a highly reputable Employee-owned company that specializes in engineering, architecture, environmental & construction services.
Our client believes that small details yield important results.
PAY: $60,000- $85,000 salary depending on experience plus a competitive benefits package.
Description:
This person will provide general construction observation to ensure contractor compliance with the contract documents. This includes quality control of the work being executed. You will also be tasked with writing and issuing field orders, initiate change proposals for design team review and approval, estimate cost of changes, negotiate costs with contractors, and recommend acceptance. Material testing (concrete in particular), or coordination of material testing service providers
types will include concrete roadway, bridge, general civil, traffic control and utility/underground construction

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology or related
- 3-5 Years of Previous construction/civil/environmental Inspection experience, preferably around transportation/road projects
- Experience with GPS location and data collection equipment, preferred but not required
- Experience with construction material testing and reporting is a plus
- Ability to interpret construction schedules, construction drawings and specifications and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents
- Demonstrated construction experience on multidisciplinary projects
- Must be willing to work outdoors during all 4 seasons
