Description:
Seeking a controls engineer with 3 years experience to support a nuclear waste project for a well known nuclear power plant. The candidate will aid in restoration efforts for the damaged reactors and stored water. The Ideal candidate will design, develop and test custom products involving PLCs, HMI development, servo motion control, programming and robotics on multiple control platforms. This individual will be apart of building and testing what they design.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare electrical designers and perform component selection for custom industrial automated systems
- Interface with outside vendors for component selection an manufacturing
- Perform motion control, VFD and HMI programming
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and computer generated reports
- Implement electrical controls design by providing hands-on assembly, installation, and start-up support related to electrical control designs
- Develop design documents including reports, client emails/status project deliverables
- Support design/drawing reviews and comment incorporation of designs
- Manage personal schedule of responsibilities on multiple projects and communicate with engineering and manufacturing team members throughout the process
Skills:
- Robotics
- hydraulic and electro-mechanical experience
- Experience with Beckoff control systems
- Experience with industrial networking systems, including design, configuration and commissioning
- Nuclear or high hazard industry experience
- Motion control
- AutoCAD electrical proficiency
- Bachelors degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
