Description :
Actalent is looking to add a versatile support engineer to join its robust customer service team. In this role, candidates are expected to handle varied responsibilities including : interface with customers (phone / in-person), coordinate scheduling for customer and field service personnel, diagnose / troubleshoot customer issues and manage installation projects.
- This position requires a candidate who possesses strong organizational skills, can adapt to changes throughout the day and week, critical thinker and mechanically-inclined.
- Doesn't need to be a social butterfly but must be comfortable talking on the phone and being readily available when a client has a need.
- Coordinate and confirm service schedule to provide support to FSE and customers.
- Receive customer purchase orders for regular service work, Contracts, Rebuilds and create a service order job accordingly.
- Work with the supporting customer service engineers to maintain accurate schedule and work flow.
- Send new quotes to customers for any contract renewal and update the log.

Qualifications :
- Candidate must have a Bachelors of Science in either mechanical, electrical or chemical.
- Must be comfortable with travel as the department is switching to a more field-based start to ensure the consultants are able to understand the machines and terminology rather than sitting behind the desk.
- Travel on Thursday / Friday and work over the weekend while having days off during the week.
