Job Title: Director Clinical Operations (ONCOLOGY)
Job Description
As a Director of Clinical Operations (Oncology) - you will be accountable for the operational planning and execution of First-in-Human, clinical pharmacology patient studies, and Phases 1-3 clinical trials (primarily phase III) This role includes responsibility for clinical program planning and execution from study design, operational planning, start-up, conduct, reporting, and close out, while managing timelines, quality, and budgets. You will align with the Head of Clinical Development Operations or Senior Director, Clinical Operations to implement successful studies and represent Clinical Operations in Strategy and Portfolio or Clinical Sub Teams in your therapeutic area.
Hard Skills
- 10 years of relevant experience (minimum of 3 at AD/Director level) - pharma/biotech experience required
- Phase III Oncology - global experience required
- 8 years of Global Trial Management
- CRO/Vendor Management and selection experience required
- Experience leading PROGRAMS/COMPOUNDS globally within oncology
- Direct report experience previously required
- Experience ensuring inspection readiness

Work Environment
The position is led by the VP, GCO, under whom there are four main pillars: Study Management, Study Optimization, Clinical Trial Business Operations, and Vendor Oversight and Alliance. The role is based within the Study Management structure, specifically under the Senior Directors who lead at the Asset level. You will be part of a structured team environment that focuses on extensive collaboration and effective clinical operations management.
