What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Controls Engineer position at Actalent?
Job Description:
Support operations by driving continuous improvement of electrical power systems, electrical controls, motors, drives, and other related components including quality.
Electrical troubleshooting of equipment,
Support of the Maintenance organization, continuous improvement efforts, training, daily operations, and electrical safety.
Troubleshooting and recommend continuous improvement strategies
Apply process control strategies to improve existing automation systems.
Implement process control models, strategies, and other methods for ensuring strong outputs, reliability, and efficiencies.
Experience supporting process control systems in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with process control systems including Rockwell and HMI packages.

Electrical Engineering degree
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Maintenance perspective with heavy industrial equipment
Experience with motor control centers, PLC's, static drives, electro/mechanical devices and power distribution.
Experience with hands on trouble shooting, critical decision making and working with union employees.
Automation, Programming, or control systems theory.
Understanding Drive control theory and operation.
Experience with intelligent motor control centers (e.g. Siemens Simocode and AS-i).
Understanding of electro-mechanical system integration.
Analyzing and troubleshooting process problems utilizing data archive and analysis tools, such as, IBA.
