What are the responsibilities and job description for the (First Shift) Phlebotomist position at Actalent?
Description:
- 1 of 3 phlebotomists in a multipractice office- OBGYN, Internal Medicine, and pediatrics
- Responsible for drawing blood from infants to adults, 40 patients a day
- Use centrifuge to spin blood samples and process samples
- Label samples correctly for shipping and processing
- Update patient information in EMR system
- Store specimen according to test required
- Create safe and comforting environment for patients
- Use straight and or butterfly needles
Skills:
Phlebotomy, pediatrics, Blood draw, Venipuncture, heel sticks, bilingual
