Description:
- We are currently seeking a Fire Protection Engineer for a variety of projects in Denver, CO
- Candidates should ideally be licensed or close to it, they would consider a designer but needs NICET license
- Will have to do site visits so candidates need to be okay with driving - a lot of projects in Denver and spread across metro area
- This company has 4 offices, with 50-60 people located in the Arvada office, the other offices are Colorado Springs, St Petersburg and Melbourne, Fl
- Projects include healthcare, higher education, industrial, k-12, historic renovation, hospitality, labs, municipal, master planning, residential, transportation, etc
- Designer will be responsible for the design and specification of fire alarm systems in a variety of occupancy types
- Candidates must live in Colorado

Primary Responsibilities:
- Fire sprinkler design
- Building and fire code consulting with large scale projects and complex fire protection/life safety systems and issues
- Engineering judgments and developing code alternatives
- Commissioning and testing of fire protection systems
- Provide consulting and high level communication with clients and Building/Fire Authorities
- Participate in business development initiatives to expand and develop fire protection and life safety services
Qualifications:
- Degree in Fire Protection engineering or related engineering discipline
- 6 years of experience (10 is preferable) in the fire protection field
- Less experience can be considered if education is in fire protection
- Experience and relationships with building and fire code officials
- Licensed as a professional engineer in the state of Colorado or NICET Level II, III or IV
- Knowledge of CAD, REVIT, AutoSPRINK or similar design programs
- Live in Colorado since they will be going on sites

Salary : $55,000 - $70,000
