What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lab Tech position at Actalent?
Description:
- Follow all SOP's and neatly and accurately complete DHR's in accordance with FDA requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment. Remove bio hazardous waste from work area and Production Lab utilizing all necessary precautions and bring to designated pick up area.
- On a rotating basis monitor temperature in lab, including room temperature, refrigerator, and incubators. Maintain automated plate washer and plate reader, if necessary. Maintain machines on a daily basis, including both start-up and shut-down procedures.
- Evaluate raw materials for use and acceptance.
- Optimize new serum panels as needed. Update panel specifications when new panels are added.
- Perform antigen optimizations.
- Perform plasma processing.
- Participate in annual physical inventory.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Lab experience
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Sample preparation experience
35 hour work week
