Job Description/Responsibilities:
The Materials Planner II is responsible for all higher-level processes of a Planner, as well as taking on additional responsibility as delegated by the chain of command. This includes, but is not limited to, being the point of contact for the Planning Team, initiating training with the team, and being the designated systems Super User.
• Create and Manage manufacturing orders for Spray Dry, Clouds, Ingredients and Top Tier Customer Rush orders
• Manage Safety Stock for Finished Goods
• Review MRP to adjust and release raw material purchase requisitions
• Review forecasts and historical usage of current flavor products to determine accurate SS levels
• Analyze Business Alerts
• Work with sales team to procure and examine forecasts for existing products
• Review inventory levels for write offs and extensions
• Schedule outside toll manufacturing as needed
• Utilize Production Pegging Report to communicate all raw material delays
• Execute the Exception Report for both FLL and FLD
• Attend meetings as required
• Manage Change Control requests for product substitutions and shortages
• Internal Source of assistance for the Planning Team members
• Initiate and lead training programs for the Planning Team
• Execute Purchasing Supplier Metrics
• Oracle and PV Superuser
What is Required:
• 4 years of material planning/production planning experience
• 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel)
